Unserious: Lucas Vazquez keepy-upping while 4-0 down against Barcelona

Barcelona, Lucas Vazquez, Real Madrid

Real Madrid endured a day to forget at the Santiago Bernabeu against arch-rivals Barcelona, as they received a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of the Catalans.

Xavi’s side continued their rampant goalscoring ways, putting 4 past Los Blancos, and it could’ve easily been more.

Madrid were tactically outclassed on the day, and more often than not, Barcelona were able to bypass their lines with relative ease. It all concluded in a famous and historic victory for the Blaugrana, and an embarrassing defeat for those in white (and Black).

What followed were apologies for the side’s display from the likes of David Alaba, Thibaut Courtois etc, but after the game, a clip of a Madridista expressing himself unapologetically whilst being 4-0 down caught fans’ eyes.

In the clip, Spaniard Lucas Vazquez can be seen executing an impressive manoeuvre albeit for no apparent reason.

The Spaniard certainly has lacked playing time this season under Carlo Ancelotti and has started only 12 times this season with an average of 55 minutes per game.

So when he received an opportunity to come on as a sub during the Clasico, he evidently wanted to make the most of it.

Paying no mind to the situation, the 30-year-old intercepted a wayward pass with his chest, then flicked it over his head, before spinning around and collecting it nearly.

Impressive execution, but perhaps not the best choice considering the situation.

Despite the defeat, Real hold a substantial lead at the top of La Liga, the closest side being Sevilla at a distance of 9 points.
