Chelsea midfielder and French international N’Golo Kante was mysteriously absent from the French camp before the game against Ivory Coast.

Speculation began swirling online and many ventured guesses as to the whereabouts of the beloved Frenchman.

Well, the answer is finally out in the open and is perhaps the most ‘Kante’ thing ever.

In a series of images and clips that have emerged online, the 30-year-old has been spotted in his native Mali.

Known for being a humble figure, the pictures provided another example, as Kante can be seen hanging out with fans at his village in Bamako.

The Frenchman also made the time to click pictures with a host of fans, complete with his trademark smile.

If not known beforehand, it would be easy to convince anyone that Kante was a local, judging by how comfortably he blended in.

Naturally, users online were once again impressed with Kante’s humility and lauded him with praise.

Due to his trip, the former Leicester man missed France’s 2-1 victory against Ivory Coast but is expected to return for their next fixture against South Africa.
