The previously leaked Liverpool FC home kit for the 2022/23 season, now has received legitimate images of the kit to back up the initial renders. These images, courtesy of Amazon India, reveal essentially a similar kit as the leaks suggested, and also include a few neat details which add layers to the design.
At its core, the 22/23 season kit for the Reds is an understated look, highlighting the traditional red shade.
Instead of one, two different shades of Red are in play here, with the other one being of a darker tone. Both look to have a glossy finish and fit well with each other. The sponsor logos are embellished in white, and so is the club crest. The player version jersey will automatically follow the Vaporknit pattern brought out by Nike for next season’s kits. The collar takes a turn from this season’s round variant, and instead, a boxy crew neck collar can be seen. A unique characteristic seems to be the cuffed sleeves on either side.
Under the collar, is a key detail, a reference to Hillsborough detail through an insignia, as the number 97 is placed in between two eternal flames.
Much like the first instance of its reveal, fans were mostly mixed on Nike‘s latest efforts. The safe approach doesn’t really bring anything new to the table, which disappointed many Reds.
When will the 22/23 Liverpool home kit get officially launched?
The general release of the kit is all set to be on May 19th.
