Fans of the light blues had plenty to celebrate as Rangers U-18s overcame Hearts’ U-18 side to lift the Scottish Youth Cup. Held at Hampden Park, the 2-1 victory earned Rangers some major silverware.
However, the win was soon overshadowed by the side’s coach, Cameron Campbell.
It wasn’t due to some sort of tactical masterclass or expert insight from the manager, instead, it was his bizarre trim that got fans online talking.
His peculiar hairdo was spotted during the post-match interview. As he talked about his side’s performance and the important experience they earned, the eyes of fans everywhere were fixated on the fringe atop his head.
A horizontal tuft sits in the front, behind it, are what can only be described as ‘layers’. They’re no uniformity in their shape, perhaps Campbell needed a comb to tuck them in properly.
The sides are even more bewildering, visible fades in either direction, but the manner in which they come together at the back resembles an undercut.
Many online likened the unusual cut to the newsboy caps as seen on Peaky Blinders, and the similarities are apparent.
Needless to say, we don’t expect Campbell’s look to catch on. Still, you have to laud the man’s confidence for rocking a trim like that, nobody but him can pull it off anyway.
