Real Madrid clinched a historic 35th La Liga title after dispatching Espanyol in a dominant 4-0 victory. Confetti rained down upon the Bernabeu as Los Blanco lifted the trophy in front of their fans.
And they soon set off for their traditional victory lap to the Plaza De Cibeles.
Surrounded by a mob of Madridistas, the players sang and danced on the road to the Plaza, and the sights were glorious. Even the normally reserved Carlo Ancelotti got into a festive mood, and he was simply the star of the show.
In pictures and clips which emerged from the celebration, the Italian looked to be living his best life and revelling in the joy.
On the touchline, you can spot Carlo giving off unbothered vibes, offering a raised brow occasionally but off it, the 62-year-old is a hoot. The first of his highlights from the event can be seen in this clip featuring Madrid’s main man, Karim Benzema.
Carlo sneaks up behind the Frenchman, and gives a misleading tap on his right shoulder, before revealing himself on the Frenchman’s left, concluding his childish escapade. A wide smile instantly takes over Benzema, and they pair then embrace.
You’ll rarely spot a manager indulging in pranks, no matter the occasion, but Carlo is simply different.
The other highlight was provided by none other than Vinicius Jr, who took to his Instagram to post a celebratory picture.
It features the likes of Eder Militao, David Alaba, Rodrygo and of course, Ancelotti. Despite the superstars around him, the Italian is the main attraction.
Rocking shades, puffing a cigar, a Merengue scarf around his neck, a prime example of why he’s referred to as ‘Don Carlo’.
As memorable as the celebrations were, Real Madrid must quickly shift attention to their upcoming UCL clash against Manchester City. Set to take place in front of a packed Bernabeu, another Champions League classic may be on the cards.
