For football players, attempts to indulge in areas other than kicking a ball on the pitch aren’t always well received.
From shocking tattoos to cringe-worthy commercials, we’ve seen them all over the years, and players have borne the brunt for it.
Aside from online trolling, when teammates get in on the action, it’s a surefire indicator that perhaps something went wrong.
And such a rude awakening awaited Mason Mount during a training session at Cobham.
The Chelsea midfielder is all set to feature in a photoshoot, teasers of which have been floating around on the Internet.
As seen in this clip, Mount slides out of a black Mustang, sporting a leather jacket, white vest and even a gold chain. A rather unique look for the 23-year-old, and naturally, many weren’t convinced.
In fact, one of those in doubt was none other than his teammate Kai Havertz. This light came to light via a snippet from one of Chelsea’s training sessions.
The pair can be seen walking together, Mount initiates a conversation and says, “Tell me properly”. The German responds, “You know I saw the shooting in Portsmouth.”
He follows it up by saying, “It’s embarrassing, embarrassing”.
The England international takes the critique on the chin, and laughs it off, concluding a bit of friendly bather between teammates.
Mount will certainly hope that Havertz’s assessment won’t become a popular one when the photoshoot eventually drops
