Against all the odds and all the constraints of logic, Real Madrid pulled it off once again, for the 14th time in their history. La Catorce has arrived for Los Blancos, as they trumped Liverpool in a 1-0 victory at the Stade De France.
In a similar fashion to their previous European games, Madrid suffered heavily initially, with the heroics of Thibaut Courtois keeping them in the game.
Tweaks in the second 45 made the difference, and eventually, a wonderful team move ended with Vinicius Jr tapping home into an empty net.
Joyous scenes broke out after the full-time whistle as the Madrid bench flooded the pitch. The party then carried on forward to the dressing room, where a few drinks were popped open. Needless to say, they certainly deserved them.
Unfortunately, the buzz looked to have caught ahold of Eden Hazard, who certainly made an error in judgment as seen in this clip.
Captured during Madrid’s dressing room celebrations, the players and staff can be seen bouncing and celebrating fervidly. Sporting the ‘Campeones’ shirt, Hazard looks to be carrying a bottle of champagne, which he then astoundingly offers up to a little boy.
Standing alongside him is Toni Kroos, who quickly pats him away, asking the boy to move along, and even gesturing a resounding ‘No’ to the Belgian.
Turns out that the boy was actually Kroos’ 8-year-old Leon, making Hazard’s decision-making all the more puzzling.
Nevertheless, the German didn’t seem displeased at all, and the pair instantly went back to celebrating.
