YouTuber Chunkz claims credit for that Son Heung-min free-kick against Chile

Last night’s International friendly between South Korea and Chile was a special occasion for Spurs talisman Son Heung-min

The 29-year-old was celebrating a landmark achievement, as his appearance against Chile was his 100th cap for the national side.

And in fitting fashion, not only did South Korea pick up a victory but the decider was scored by the man himself.

The forward’s red-hot form has carried on from the Premier League, during which he picked up the Golden Boot for scoring 23 goals.

His decisive performance against Chile proves that Son is simply unstoppable at the moment, as he netted in the very last minute of the game, with an outstanding strike no less.

South Korea looked to hold on to a slender 1-0 advantage heading into the final minute when an opportunity arrived in the form of a free kick from close range.

Up-stepped Son and scored the winner with a sumptuous strike, struck with plenty of curl and pace the goalkeeper simply had no chance.

A moment of individual brilliance decided the game, but perhaps it was a joint effort or at least YouTuber Chunkz thinks so.

After the freekick began making headlines online, popular YouTuber and online personality Chunkz took notice.

He tweeted out a clip from his video with Son which features the pair testing out their speed and reaction times and wrote – ‘I taught him that one’.

The clip he shared displayed a segment during which the YouTuber showed off his incredible free-kick technique to Son. His curling shot left the South Korean impressed, and perhaps Son took interest in the technique.

A comparison between the 2 strikes brings out the similarities, short run-up, deft strike, top bins, Chunkz claim may just be true.

Nevertheless, the free-kick certainly produced another viral moment for the YouTuber, perhaps it’ll be as popular as the celebration Mason Mount borrowed from him
