Son Heung-min launches new clothing line: Nothing, Ordinary Sunday

Son Heung-min, Tottenham Hotspur

Being one of the best footballers in the world brings with it certain perks. Aside from plenty of plaudits, lucrative contracts and immense popularity, it gives stars a platform to dabble in different avenues.

Fashion has become the preferred field for players to try their hand at, as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, David Beckham etc have all started their own fashion lines and brands.

Joining them is Tottenham Hotspur superstar Son Heung-min

The 29-year-old has cemented his spot as one of the best players in the Premier League, after another blistering season, which he capped off by winning the Golden Boot alongside Mohamed Salah.

Being undoubtedly the most famous Asian footballer, there’s plenty of popularity he could leverage, and a fashion brand offers an accessible method of doing so.

Aptly named ‘NOS7’ (his name in backwards and number), the brand has been created in collaboration with Korean department store Shinsegae. As per its website, ‘NOS’ is also an acronym for ‘Nothing, Ordinary Sunday’.

The apparel on offer will include sportswear, underwear, socks, shoes, skirts, aprons etc.

The release is scheduled for 17th June, however, fans have already received a glimpse of what’s coming, as Son sported a white shirt from the fashion line during his hero’s welcome at an airport in South Korea.

The impending launch will give us an indication of whether the brand will be a success or not.
