Christian Pulisic Becomes Latest Chelsea Player to Go Blonde

Chelsea, Christian Pulisic, Premier League

Christian Pulisic recently ended a topsy-turvy season with Chelsea in which he couldn’t really consolidate himself as a mainstay in the team. The USA international suffered from injury issues at the start of the season and had a decent campaign once able to return from injury.

Pulisic ended the season with 13 goal contributions (8 goals, 5 assists) in 38 appearances for the Blues. That was more than the goal contributions (10) he had in the 2020/21 season, but still not the numbers Thomas Tuchel is looking for in his forwards.

The USA winger’s future is a bit uncertain as he is attracting interest from Serie A clubs AC Milan and Juventus. But, Pulisic is currently only focused on fulfilling his international commitment to his country before heading off on a much-needed holiday.

It also seems like Pulisic is already in the holiday spirit! As team USA prepare for upcoming CONCACAF Nations League games against Grenada and El Salvador, Pulisic was spotted rocking a completely different hairstyle in training.

On Wednesday, footage of training showed the Chelsea winger changing up his style. He has dyed his hair blonde, but not fully blonde yet. Indeed, the front side of Pulisic’s hair is completely blonde but the back of his head still has shades of his former brunette look.

The 24-year-old winger was seen donning the new look with pride heading into the training sessions. Pulisic isn’t, of course, the first major footballer to go blonde in recent years. Phil Foden noticeably did it before the Euro 2020 last year. Paul Pogba even dyed his hair blonde last season.

In fact, Pulisic’s Chelsea teammates Jorginho and Thiago Silva both bleached their hair last year as well. So maybe that is where he got the inspiration to change up his style and give himself a completely new look.

Christian seems to be fully ready to have a blast during his short 3 week holiday period after international duty is over. He’ll only get a few weeks to party, and enjoy himself with friends and relatives before getting back to pre-season with Chelsea.

Pulisic’s new summer look is a sign of him gearing up for an enjoyable vacation as well as a potential change next season.
