With pre-season done and dusted, and some impressive wins in the bag, Arsenal will now be looking forward to kicking off the Premier League, with a fixture away at Crystal Palace.
The Gunners’ most recent display was a 6-0 goal fest against Sevilla, in front of a packed Emirates. The starting XI for the game is likely going to start against Palace as well, fair to say, they’re clicking perfectly.
The starters also included 2 newcomers, the former Manchester City duo of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, and both players looked to have settled in seamlessly.
The Brazilian has had more time to adapt to Mikel Arteta’s methods, a task he’s clearly excelled at so far. Zinchenko on the other hand is a more recent arrival but has still managed to blend in without a hitch.
The Gunners’ young squad is known to be a fairly welcoming bunch, and they’ve certainly helped the new arrivals feel at home. This is reflected by the kooky nickname which has already been handed to Zinchenko, by fellow teammate Aaron Ramsdale.
As revealed on Vlada Sedan’s YouTube channel, the English Goalkeeper wasted no time and handed Zinchenko the nickname ‘Zinky Winky’, pretty low-effort if we had to say.
The Ukrainian’s response was much more apt, as he now refers to Ramsdale as ‘Boris Johnson’, owing to the resemblance he shares with the British Politician.
This edit blending Ramsdale and Johnson together really puts things into perspective, and once you notice the similarities, it’s really difficult to unsee them.
Previously, fans had drawn up comparisons to Ed Sheeran, who also looks quite a bit like Ramsdale. But clearly, a more suitable candidate had flown under the radar.
Nevertheless, thanks to Arsenal’s new fullback it has come to the light. And It wouldn’t be surprising to see Gooners refer to their keeper as ‘Boris Johnson’ from now on.
