Dejan Kulusevski appears to have picked up right where he left off last season for Tottenham. After arriving as a late January reinforcement for Antonio Conte, the Swede registered 13 G+A in just 18 appearances for Spurs in the Premier League. Most of his attacking output also came during a crucial juncture in the season and aided Tottenham to secure a top-4 finish.
Having formed an impressive attacking trio with Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min that perfectly fit Conte’s counter-attacking style of play, the Italian has decided to not break up the combination this season despite the arrival of Richarlison.
Kulusevski started both of Tottenham’s opening fixtures and has already scored and assisted a goal each. The bright start to the season from the 22-year-old would have been music to the ears of Spurs supporters who certainly fell in love with the player last season.
To show their support for the new acquisition last season, Tottenham fans brought out a chant for Kulusevski moulded to the tune of ABBA’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” which instantly became a popular chant throughout the league.
Not to mention, the player himself revealed how much he liked the loving gesture from the fan base and said that he “did not take it for granted” while speaking in an interview.
Now it looks like supporters have added yet another Kulu chant to the collection as Spurs fans returning from the away game against Chelsea on Sunday were spotted singing the new song to the tune of the hit disco track “Your Body.”
The catchy song was composed by German DJ and producer Tom Novy and also features American singer and songwriter Michael Marshall. The track was released back in 2006 and continues to be a regular popular clubbing anthem.
The fan grab of the new chat being aired reveals it to have been done inside a metro train by Spurs fans on their way back from Stamford Bridge. While the iteration of the song appears too quick to spot the lyrics, the chant goes perfectly well with the lyrics of the song.
“I don’t want nobody!
I’ve got Dejan Kulusevski…On the wing!
I don’t want nobody!
I’ve got Dejan Kulusevski…On the wing!”
Since making his move to the North London side, Kulusevski has predominantly been deployed by Antonio Conte on the right-wing along with Kane and Son and this chant seems to be picking up on how Spurs have finally found the man to accompany their household names in the attack.
After propelling the club to a top-4 finish last season, the expectations would be higher this time around for the Swedish international as Tottenham are set to return to the Champions League. If his start to the new season is anything to go by then surely Kulusevski is set to be a real danger down the wing.
