PSG have had a pretty solid start to the new season. They’re on top of the Ligue 1 table, having won 8 out of their first 10 games.
The Leo Messi–Neymar–Kylian Mbappe trio has a combined goal contribution tally of well over 35.
On the pitch, things are going great for Christophe Galtier’s side as they’ve looked unstoppable so far. But off the pitch, life isn’t exactly so peachy.
Mbappe is reportedly frustrated that the entire PSG playing style is not revolved around him and that he is being played through the centre, despite wanting to play in the left wing.
He even hinted at his frustrations with an Instagram story post recently, only to delete it swiftly.
While he’s seemingly playing his own mind games off the pitch, Mbappe is at least trying to be a leader at PSG after having re-signed with them earlier this summer.
The PSG squad come off as a really happy, jubilant bunch of players whenever the cameras are on them.
That was clear during a recent training session ahead of PSG’s next Champions League outing against Benfica.
Galtier’s side were undergoing some regular rondo sessions in training, with all their biggest players involved in it.
During the rondo, Ramos was the one trying to intercept the ball and tried to close down Neymar in an attempt to win it.
But the Brazilian forward ended up cheekily nutmegging him, much to the delight of everyone around.
Ramos himself found the entire thing to be hilarious, as he ended up falling and hugging Mbappe – who couldn’t control his laughter after seeing whatever had transpired.
The Frenchman started laughing uncontrollably – which seemingly even made Ramos himself start laughing as well.
He was clearly embarrassed to be nutmegged in front of his own teammates and tried to stop Mbappe’s laughter by clinging onto him and playfully dragging him back from getting to Neymar.
Kylian somehow dragged himself and his defender to give a high-five to Neymar for being able to get one over their senior player.
This annoyed Ramos even more, who tried to get some playful revenge on the Brazilian forward.
The Spaniard tried his best to give Neymar a kick in the butt, but only for him to move away and leave him rooted to his spot.
Achraf Hakimi found the entire thing to be very funny as well, as he mocked his former Real Madrid teammate before going over to Neymar and giving him a high five.
It’s quite clear that the spirits are very high in the PSG side, especially when it comes to getting the job done on the pitch.
Players are having fun, there seems to be chemistry building between players of all ages and statures.
Galtier’s biggest job will be to ensure any dressing room problem cannot result in a total breakdown on the pitch.
With the major tests yet to come for PSG, their supporters will hope their squad can maintain utmost unity and keep having fun in matches all through until May.
