It’s not that time of the year yet, but there seems to be love in the air at Arsenal. Evidence has emerged of a brewing bromance between Gabriel Martinelli & Fabio Vieira.

The Gunners have had a dream start to the 2022-23 season, winning 9 out of their 10 matches in the Premier League. And at their latest victory at Elland Road, fans have been treated to an adorable moment between the two youngsters.

The Portuguese new signing is seen cleaning the grass out of the Brazilian’s face, who was lying on the ground and writhing in pain after he was fouled by a Leeds United player.

Arsenal enlisted the 22-year-old creative midfielder from FC Porto during the summer transfer window for a reported fee of €35 million plus add-ons. The young revolution at The Emirates under Mikel Arteta is going strong as they sit pretty at top of the league.

Martinelli, who turned 21 in June, has found the perfect compatriot in Vieira in the latter’s early days at the club. “We are always together,” said Martinelli. “He’s a very good guy and everyone loves him.”

Almost the same age, their common tongue Portuguese has helped the bond to grow stronger.

Vieira had scored a wonderful goal against Brentford on his full Premier League debut, helping his team win 3-0.

In the post-match interview, a reporter praised the goal to which he said that it was “lucky.” Martinelli, standing next to him, backed his new BFF and rubbished his claim.

“No, don’t say that… he’s been practicing that shot every single day, so it’s not luck” said the Brazilian.

In their training session, Fabio Viera was hit in the face after teammate Cedric flicked the ball up while playing rondo – or piggy in the middle.

Everyone’s attention was directed towards the incident, none more so than Gabriel Martinelli, who burst out laughing hysterically following the drama.

Their chemistry off the pitch is catching eyes all over and fans can’t wait to see them link up on the playing field.

The pair were also spotted playing a game of table tennis together before their match against Fulham on goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale’s Instagram.

They have taken the mantle from Arsenal’s previous bromance between strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Their trademark handshake whenever they assisted one another with a goal was loved by the fans. But with both the players leaving their clubs, supporters are treated to the beginning of something special.

With a generational Brazilian talent and a silky-smooth Portuguese operator in the middle of the pitch, Arsenal fans would be hoping that Martinelli & Vieira form a partnership both on and off the pitch for many years to come.

From the top of the Premier League, the future at The Emirates has never looked brighter.
