Kit leaks are far from unusual these days, and they typically arrive just weeks before the official launch.
In recent times, however, certain leaks have popped months before their reveals, with an example Barcelona’s home and away kits for the next season.
These leaks aren’t always thorough, and usually provide information on some key details and design elements.
And yesterday, the folks at FootyHeadlines did exactly that and delivered some news about the threads which will be worn next season by Tottenham Hotspur.
The leak provided some early details about the London outfit’s away kit for 2023/24, and already, it seems like quite the departure from their current one.
Designed by Nike, this season’s kit is a horrid mixture of navy blue and neon green that fans were largely dissatisfied with.
With an opportunity to redeem itself next season, Nike has opted for a rather unique and shiny approach.
The base colour is reportedly Dark Navy, and instead of having a fully-shaded or monochrome club badge, Nike are going for iridescent logos.
There have been examples of iridescent logos on kits in the past, such as Barcelona’s 21/22 away kit.
Even the Lilywhites have sported these colourful logos, albeit in the form of training kits.
Nonetheless, 23/24’s away shirt will be the first in the club’s history to have iridescent logos.
Paired with a dark navy base there’s certainly potential for the kit to be a banger, given that Nike doesn’t mess it up.
Fans online were largely positive about the reveal, but there were some concerns as initially the leaks were linked to the home kit.
But once the errors were cleared up, the response was much more welcoming.
