It’s been a busy month for Chelsea Football Club, and a busy year in general as well, with the London outfit currently undergoing a transition into new ownership.

Led by Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, a consortium took over the reins from former owner Roman Abramovich last year setting many changes in motion.

In the months that have followed, Boehly and co have been hard at work in shaping the future of the club, and they’ve also made a number of public appearances during that period.

The American himself has been a regular feature at Stamford Bridge for a number of Chelsea’s home games, with his last sighting coming in the league tie against Manchester City.

Following that match, Boehly returned to the States in order to make some other high-profile public appearances, including the red carpet of the Golden Globes.

The 49-year-old suited up and appeared at the event, coincidentally he is also the newly-appointed owner of the awards show.

This wasn’t the only investment of his that he checked up on, as Boehly also marked his attendance at the Crypto.com Arena to spectate NBA side Los Angeles Lakers.

The iconic Basketball franchise took on the Houston Rockets last night, and Boehly was sitting courtside to watch the game unfold.

The American reportedly owns a 27% stake in the team with business partner Mark Waters, which nestles comfortably alongside his other sporting investments.

A popular picture from last night’s game displays Boehly marvelling at the sight of Basketball legend LeBron James while sporting a Lakers top.

King James made it a special night as scored his 38,000th career point, he ended the evening with 48 points in total, featuring 9 assists and 8 rebounds.

His performance clearly left Boehly amazed, and the image itself led to plenty of excitement amongst Blues fans, who wondered whether a sporting collaboration between Chelsea and LA Lakers could be in the offing

Even if that were to come to fruition, it is unlikely that James would be associated with it, as the 38-year-old has an ownership stake in Premier League Liverpool.

Despite departing England, Chelsea were still on Boehly’s mind, as he recently popped up on a Twitter space populated by Chelsea fans.

Given his business portfolio, Chelsea’s vast transfer expenditure, and his hands-on approach to fan interactions, the American is already a hit with the supporters.

And if he manages to stitch together a collaboration between the Lakers and Chelsea, you can expect the approval ratings to hit an all-time high.
