After missing the prior four games due to an Achilles soreness, James “The Beard” Harden has returned to action.
The 76er made his return ahead of Philadelphia’s clash with Dallas Mavericks. The match that ended in favor of the 76ers with a scoreline of 116-108, saw Harden finish the game with 15 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, and three steals over 38 minutes.
Harden has now posted his 34th double-double of the season, a personal second-best for the L.A. born. Despite being one of the greatest shooting guards in the history of the NBA, it’s crazy to see the 33-year-old breaking records at his age.
The former Houston Rockets #13 is a legend of the game, and in October of 2021, Harden was honored as one of the league’s greatest players of all time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary team. An Olympic gold medalist, Harden has featured in the NBA All-Star team 10 times in his career.
Despite being one of the greats, it’s not just his on-court achievements that Harden is known for. Nicknamed “The Beard”, James is widely recognized for his sleek beard of him. He’s been sporting the beard since his early playing days as a pro.
Amusingly enough, the beard wasn’t the only part of Harden’s face that stood out among the fans.
James was hugely popular for having one of the worst teeth alignments in the NBA. Though pearly white, his chompers were irregular in shape and alignment.
After being ridiculed for his teeth for quite a while, James chose to get his dentition fixed, opting for the Invisalign method in place of the conventionally used braces.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
As opposed to metal braces, Invisalign, as the same suggests, isn’t visible when smiling. At the same time, this method costs more than traditional braces.
On one hand, where using the braces might cost you around $3000-4000, Invisalign could even cost up to $7000.
James got the Invisalign treatment in 2016. Ever since then, the 32-year-old has appeared to be much more confident with his smile and appearance.
With him undergoing the treatment seven years ago, we estimate the cost of his Invisalign treatment must’ve been around $5000-$7000.
The 76ers must be thrilled by the return of their star man James Harden. Post his return game, James was asked about his injury to which he replied that he’s been dealing with them for months.
He further went on to discuss the remainder of the season as he stated, “Six games left to finish the season off, finish off strong, then we get another week to prepare. I felt like tonight was game to come back.”
76ers, who currently sit 3rd on the Eastern Conference table, are set to face Toronto Raptors on Friday.
