These Photos of Daizen Maeda with Hair is Freaking Celtic Fans Out

Celtic, Daizen Maeda

Messi doing a knee slide celebration, Arjen Robben using his right foot, there are some things in football that just don’t seem right and Celtic fans have a similar feeling as an image of Japanese forward Daizen Maeda from his teenage years goes viral.

The image features the 25-year-old chasing the ball, playing for YFA or the Yamanashi Football Association but the surprising or shocking element is the fact that the Number 38 for Celtic has a full head of hair in the image.

This did not sit well with the Celtic fans as they are just not used to seeing the Japanese international with hair as he is bald by choice (to many people’s surprise).

Maeda joined Celtic on loan from Yokohama F.M in the 21/22 season wherein, he scored 13 goals and assists in all competition and was key in then manager Ange Postecoglou’s side winning the Scottish Premiership title.

The 25-year-old Japan forward has become a key player for the Hoops since taking only four minutes to score his first Celtic goal on debut against Hibernian in January 2022.

He managed to outdo himself as the Celtics had a historic season winning the domestic treble sweeping the Premiership, Scottish Cup and the Scottish League cup where the Japanese managed to produce 18 Goals and assists in his 49 appearances for the club.

Daizen Maeda has handed Celtic another attacking boost by signing a new deal until June 2027.

The player however, has not always been bald even in his professional career as he was rocking a bleached/ blonde buzz cut look during his time with Yokohama F.M.

The player hasn’t ever revealed the reason behind being bald by choice.

Maeda will be looking to make it a hattrick of Premiership titles as Celtic gear up for the 23/24 season wherein, they also take part in the Champions League, a tournament the Japanese international is quite excited to play in.

Best believe the Celtic fans will start a riot of Maeda begins the season with a “new hairstyle”.
