Although the 2023/24 has just begun, Barcelona’s 2024/25 possible look is already in the news.
The new away jersey for FC Barcelona’s 2024-2025 season has been revealed through a leak in the Barcelona-based newspaper Sport.
This jersey, created by Nike, will be donned by the team in the 2024/25 La Liga campaign and any other competitions that Barcelona qualifies for.
What’s intriguing about this new Nike Barcelona away shirt is its return to the primary color of black, marking the first time since the black and gold jersey seen in the 2020-2021 season.
In this design, Nike has emphasized the club’s colors, as both the collar and side stripe have been adorned with the iconic Blaugrana colors of red and blue, making for a visually striking design.
The new design has supposedly being leaked by @memorabilia1899 on X as we can see a photoshopped Ronald Araujo wearing the shirt.
Adding to the visual appeal, the Spotify logo and the Nike Swoosh on the FC Barcelona 2024-2025 away football shirt are showcased in “black” with a striking red and blue outline, creating a distinctive and eye-catching look for the team’s away matches in the upcoming season.
As mentioned earlier this is not the first time Barcelona is designing a black base away shirt.
In the 2020-21 season, Nike introduced FC Barcelona’s away kit, which had a predominantly black design with metallic-gold accents for logos and detailing. Interestingly, they opted for a black-gold version of the Barcelona crest instead of the usual full-color one.
The jersey had a clean and simple look, without any graphics or color-blocking, and only featured gold trim on the collar and cuffs to match the logos. The accompanying shorts and socks were also black, with the Nike swoosh and Barca logo appearing in gold on the shorts.
The Barcelona 13-14 Goalkeeper Home Shirt is black with fading stripes on the sleeves. These stripes transition from black to gray on the lower part of the sleeves. The ensemble is completed with matching black shorts.
In the 2011-2012 season, FC Barcelona introduced their new away shirt made by Nike, and it was a departure from their colorful away uniforms.
The kit had a simple black base, with the yellow Nike Swoosh appearing on the right side, and the Qatar Foundation logo in yellow as well. The FC Barcelona badge was displayed on the left side of the chest.
