Adidas, Arsenal, Football Kits, Manchester United

If you went gaga over the recent advert of Odegaard along with Havertz, Saliba, Timber, and Leah Williamson posing for Arsenal’s gorgeous third kit by Adidas, you were certainly not alone.

The changing times have seen a mixture of different aspects of culture penetrating and mixing with each other in almost every aspect of life.

Why should football an ever-thriving sport in the everyday person’s mentality be left behind?

Adidas has begun this season with their latest edition of football jerseys combining sports with the fashion world.

Indeed, Arsenal’s green baguette-colored third kit is astounding evidence of so.

The globally popular sports brand has partnered with Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Manchester United for the release of their latest LFSTLR collection.

If the retro look of Arsenal’s third kit advert had drawn attention for appearing French classy and exquisite, making the players donning the kits look ravishing, the next in line promises more of some of the high-end fashion standards.

According to Adidas, it is an opportunity for the company to expand the growing business market of football jerseys outside of the conventional realms of the stadium and everyday supporters.

This also provides supporters of different clubs attuned to the world of fashion and culture to keep up with their tastes and style while supporting their club all the same.

The rise of individualism in the post-modern era has now truly taken over football as well for a matter of fact, Sam Handy, the Vice President of  Adidas football’s Product and Design, said, “The lines between football and fashion have never been more blurred, which is why we’re excited to launch this new collection for fans who want to show off their club pride in style and comfort.

Each of the clubs featured in the LFSTLR collection are globally recognized institution whose appeal stretches beyond a purely football context.

That’s why we wanted to challenge and redefine the traditional concept of a replica jersey and tap into current streetwear trends – making them a welcome addition to the wardrobe of any fashion-conscious supporter.”

The company has joined forces with different personnel in the music and fashion industry to signal its intent to combine cultures and people.

Manchester United will be represented by Adekunle Gold, an extremely well-known Nigerian afro-pop singer, along with Manchester’s own twin sister musical duo The KTNA.

Chiara Scelsi will be representing Juventus, an Italian model by trade.

Achraf, is a household name in German pop culture collaborating in fashion and music, and he will be representing Bayern Munich.

Pusha T made headlines after winning the Grammy and the super talent singer will be representing the Gunners.

Mexican rapper Aleman will be combining with Real Madrid.
