Look: Star Wars Star Natalie Portman Dons Stella McCartney Top in Support of Arsenal

Arsenal, Famous Football Fans

Arsenal had a few ‘special’ fans watching their thrilling win over Manchester City at the weekend. One of those includes Academy Award winning actress Natalie Portman, who was pictured watching on inside the Emirates Stadium.

It appears that the American actress watched the game from the VIP box. She was also accompanied by Australian actress Isla Fisher. Not only did Portman decide to come up for the game, but she arrived in full gear!

Indeed, Portman was seen wearing the Arsenal Women’s team’s away kit for this season. Designed by British fashion designer Stella McCartney, this slick away kit is designed for the female side to wear on their trips to away games. You can buy it for around £80 and it’s quite readily available around online stores as well.

Portman is actually a major promoter of Women’s football. She is especially involved in the US Women’s Soccer scene, and also co-owns her own football team. Indeed, the popular actress is the founder and majority owner of Angel City FC – a team based in Los Angeles, California. The team plays in the National Women’s Soccer League and was only formed in 2021.

That is why some fans fear that she might’ve visited the Emirates Stadium as part of her scouting for players to sign for Angel City. Arsenal Women fans are hopeful that she stays away from their players and can’t manage to convince anyone to go with her to the United States.

However, Portman might actually be a supporter of the Arsenal Men’s team too. She had met Bukayo Saka in an England vs USA Women’s game last year and he might’ve compelled her to support the Gunners.

Arsenal fans seem to love getting a celebrity figure in their fanbase and how their team is now getting more popular figures to root them onwards. The Gunners are flying high after defeating the Cityzens for the second time this season and can probably further grow their fanbase by winning major trophies this season.
