First Look at Boundary Pushing Liverpool Home Kit for 24/25 Season

Football Kits, Liverpool, Nike

Liverpool have had a flying start to the 2023/24 season and have already positioned themselves as Premier League title challengers. New boys Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister have fit in well and the former is particularly flying on all cylinders.

Things look promising for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who might have actually benefited from not playing in the Champions League this time around. With the Reds determined to get back to winning major trophies, their shirt manufacturers Nike are just as motivated to keep making new innovations with their kits.

Even though we are well over seven months away from the start of the 2024/25 season, it appears that the American brand have already started working on Liverpool’s kits for that campaign. Indeed, a recent leak of what appears to be an early design for their home jersey for the next season has been doing rounds on social media.

It appears that Nike have planned for quite significant changes to Liverpool’s home kit design from the slick, yet plain one they have worn so far this season.

An early leak from X user @R4ulito__ shows that they are likely to wear a darker shade of the red colour in their home kit in the next campaign with some new innovations in terms of the design.

The colours in the kit are likely to be Gym Red, White and Yellow. The Nike and Liverpool club badge are designed in a striking yellow colour in this one, while the Standard Chartered logo is in white. The round-neck collar design also features a white and red pattern that really compliments the colour of the kit.

However, it appears that Nike has pushed some boundaries over the interesting pattern that they might be planning to implement in the kit. The design on the front of the kit features yellow pinstripe-like figures, which all align to form a YNWA (You Never Walk Alone) symbol.

This is a sweet homage to the club’s acclaimed anthem that is sung by the Anfield faithful before and after home game and is so close to the heart of the fans. While this kit is only an early leak and not confirmed yet at all, it appears to have really impressed the majority of the Liverpool fans.

The same X user has also used his photoshop skills to demonstrate how Andy Robertson and Dominik Szoboszlai might look when they are wearing it next season.

Quite a few fans believe that this kit design has the potential to be the best one that Nike has developed for the club since they took over from New Balance as their shirt manufacturer in 2020.

Interestingly, Nike appears to have taken one page out of New Balance’s design with the colour shade. Liverpool wore this kind of red home kit in the 2019-20 season, when they also won their first-ever Premier League title, and that kit featured a darker yellow shade to their sponsor logos.

Liverpool fans might consider it to be their lucky colour shade and that is why many might be delighted to see this kind of design being implemented by Nike too. With that being said, this kit design will only be confirmed towards the end of this season and be released by Nike around the June-July period for the fans to get their hands on.
