Trent Alexander-Arnold is having the hottest streak of form of his career, consistently being the central outlet in Liverpool’s attack. He has continued his presence in creating chances and scoring important goals.
He was pivotal in Liverpool’s match against Manchester City scoring a goal, goal and assists from the Fulham game. Being a Liverpool academy player who grew up in the club’s background, it’s safe to say their efforts were a huge success. But despite his incredible performance, he went viral during Liverpool’s match against Sheffield United for a completely different reason.
During the 37th minute of the match against Sheffield United, Liverpool was awarded a corner kick and Trent was the one who took it. But right before taking the corner he accidentally pulls down his shorts a little too much while adjusting it. The cameras completely capture this wardrobe malfunction as Arnold accidentally shows his buttocks to the world.
This moment became even more brilliant as Alexander-Arnold corner kick reached Virgil Van Dijk who scored the opener and ended up at the back of the net.
The internet, as always, weighed in on the conversations, making jokes and memes supporting Alexander-Arnold. Some are questioning if him showing his butt cheeks was on purpose or if he is trolling his doubters and shutting them up. Some pointed out an ironic moment as Trent showed his backside next to a pride flag.
But it is unfortunate that Alexander-Arnold’s presence in the Liverpool attack has left Liverpool’s backline at risk. This imbalance is the only reason preventing them. Some have made memes comparing the Englishman in a Pornhub logo and layout.
While the conversation got stuck with Alexander-Arnold’s accidental wardrobe malfunction, fans took shots at Reece James, the Chelsea defender who got humbled by Manchester United’s midfield and buried James Reece for his performance and buried them quickly. They buried this quickly as fans claim Arnold’s ass cheeks had a better game than Reece James did against the Red Devils.
If Trent can hold down their fortress, Liverpool has nothing to worry about. With Van Dijk having to work overtime and having to deal with Arnold’s new lack of presence in his own half, the Englishman’s focus has shifted to working his magic in the attacking areas.
