Look: Endrick and His Girlfriend Steal the Spotlight at Brasileiro Awards

Endrick, Palmeiras

The Brazilian Serie A (Brasileiro) season concluded earlier this week with Palmeiras clinching their second successive league title after earning a 1-1 draw away at Cruzeiro, with Endrick getting on the scoresheet.

The league was an extremely close affair as far as the points table is concerned. Ahead of the 38th and final match in the league, Palmeiras were on 69 points, three ahead of second-placed Atletico Miniero. Palmeiras already had one hand on the title as they have a far superior goal difference and would have to lose by at least seven goals in order to squander the league to Atletico Miniero.

All the defending champions needed in their final league outing was a draw, and that’s what they earned thanks to a 21st-minute strike from their wonderkid Endrick. The 17-year-old has been the centre of all the media hype in recent weeks because of his astonishing displays, carrying the team on his back in attack and showing maturity way, way beyond his years.

The Real Madrid-bound sensation, who is set to join Los Blancos in June 2024, has defied notions that he is just a teenager by scoring six goals in his last seven games and finishing with 14 goals in 53 games across all competitions, 11 of them coming in the league in 31 games.

In the process, Endrick broke Neymar’s record of the most goals scored by an under-18 player in the Brazilian top flight. The former Barca and PSG man scored 10 goals for Santos in his debut season. Only Ronaldo ‘El Fenomeno’ Nazario has scored more goals in Brazil before turning 18 (12 goals).

In the post-season awards ceremony, Endrick was the recipient of the Revelecão Award, given to the greatest discovery of the season in the Brazilian Serie A. Not just that, but his first goal against Botafogo, in which Palmeiras came back from 3-0 down to win 4-3, was nominated as the Most Beautiful Goal of the Season.

At the awards ceremony, Endrick was accompanied by his parents and his girlfriend. For the first time in his short career, the teenager was spotted with a woman accompanying him.

So, who exactly is this woman? Her name is Gabriely Miranda. She is a Brazilian model and social media personality with 169k followers on Instagram at the time of writing.

Miranda has been spotted supporting Palmeiras in several games at the Allianz Parque. Apparently, it’s the same woman Endrick was seen checking out from head to toe and salivating over in a recent video that surfaced on social media.

Interestingly, Miranda is 20 years old, three years older than Endrick. She is also associated to Emodel Brazil, a Brazilian modelling agency, and is followed by Endrick’s national teammate and future Real Madrid colleague Eder Militao.

Now that Endrick has made his relationship status official, fans will hope that his relationship with Gabriely Miranda won’t serve as a distraction and that she helps him grow individually instead of crippling him and doing the opposite of alleviating his mental stress between games.

At 17, Endrick is without a shadow of a doubt not mature enough to handle relationships on his own. But if there’s one thing he has proved to the world in the last 18 months or so with Palmeiras, it is that he is an extremely dedicated and focused professional, only aiming to be the best in the world. He is definitely justifying the gamble Real Madrid made to sign him. Madridistas surely can’t wait to see him arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu.
