Newcastle United have a new kit sponsor this time. In September 2023, NUFC terminated its partnership with the premium sportswear brand Castore prematurely.
The original contract was set to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season, but Newcastle ended it within just 2 years. It is considered due to widespread complaints about poor customer service.
The Magpies are set to welcome Adidas as their new kit sponsor from the next season, becoming one of the 7 elite clubs in the German giant’s roster.
Adidas will pay Newcastle United £40 million for the same, which is eight times more than Castore.
Now leaked images of the home, away, and third kits for NUFC next season have arrived online.
Based on insider info, the mockups has been designed by Josh Allsopp of Blackmtn, a creative agency out of Cardiff. Let’s have a look:
Home Kit: The Adidas Newcastle United home football kit for 2024-2025 will resemble the 2001-2003 kit, featuring the classic vertical black and white stripes combined with a ‘V’-neck.
Reports suggest that the upcoming season’s away kit will adopt the modern Adidas logo instead of a retro one, reflecting an Onix grey color shade.
It is likely that the kit will include a similar Onix-grey stripes down the side and a triple stripe on the shoulder, whereas the primary sponsor logo will be in white.
Adidas will likely base it on the 2024 national team model, albeit with some minor adjustments. The Adidas Newcastle 2024-2025 home jersey surely evokes memories of the Umbro shirts from the 1980s.
Away Kit: The Adidas Newcastle United 2024-2025 away jersey brings back the look of the iconic 1995-96 away shirt.
The away kit will feature wide horizontal alternate stripes in navy blue and maroon.
The brandings this time are showcased in the shade of white, coupled with the triple stripes on the shoulder in the same color.
The shirt will be complemented by similar navy blue shorts.
Third Kit: Adidas has unleashed their creativity in the classy bi-color third kit for 2024/25.
The third kit will primarily reflect a white hue, beautifully complemented by the turquoise blue color used for sponsor brandings and logos.
The neck and underarm areas are beautifully contrasted in turquoise blue against the white backdrop.
The Adidas Newcastle United 2024-2025 third jersey is inspired by the Adidas EQT style, and it’s reported that Adidas will use the Newcastle badge of the 1980s, possibly incorporating the Adidas EQT logo as well.
Fans have taken to social media to unanimously appreciate the design of it.
They even tagged them as ‘excellent’ and ‘stunning,’ where the majority of the people have expressed their interest to get their hands on all three kits for the next season.
They will have to wait a bit for that to happen. The home kit is alleged to be released in June next year, and the other kits will follow.
