Fans Can’t Shake Wolves Vibe from All-Orange Real Madrid Away Kit for 24/25 Season

Real Madrid are determined to cap off their 2023/24 season with a European double and their 16th UEFA Champions League trophy. Los Blancos already have one hand on the La Liga title, which can be sealed with a few more victories, but face a daunting task in Europe.

First, Carlo Ancelotti’s side must defeat an unpredictable Bayern Munich before having to oust PSG or Borussia Dortmund to lift the Champions League in Wembley. With Los Blancos totally focused on the task at hand, their shirt manufacturers are equally determined to win over the fans by doing their job perfectly.

Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in the world and having millions of fans worldwide gives Adidas the incentive to market their kits on a large scale. But the German brand is also under intense pressure to produce aesthetically pleasing kits to impress fans. Well, they seem to have definitely gone in a new direction when it comes to Real Madrid’s upcoming away kit.

A new leak has given a glimpse on how Los Blancos’ away attire will look for the 2024/25 campaign. This is a complete 360 turn from the current navy blue kit that they wear for away matches. Adidas has instead designed a bright orange jersey with black patterns. The Adidas and Fly Emirates logos are both in black, while the iconic club crest is inscribed in an orange and black pattern.

The collar for this away kit is a round-neck design with shades of black and white. The 24/25 away kit design actually pays homage to a rather iconic past attire in Real Madrid history. Indeed, this is a nod to the third kit that Los Blancos wore in Europe during the 2013/14 season (also designed by Adidas) when they managed to win their 10th Champions League title and win ‘La Decima’.

The kit’s simplistic yet bright design has actually pleased Madridistas, who love the nostalgic factor about it. However, for far too many fans, this away kit design screams like one that is way too similar to the Wolves home kit’s design.

The Premier League club has earned their reputation for being quite unorthodox with their home, which is a gold and black one. The Real Madrid 24/25 away kit, although orange, looks very much like the Wolves kit at first glance.

Interestingly, the Premier League club actually sponsored by Italian brand Castore as their shirt manufacturer, even though Adidas were their sponsor until a change happened in 2021. Wolves home kit colours actually have some interesting symbolism behind it, as it refers to the Wolverhampton city model ‘out of darkness cometh light’. The colors yellow and black are representations of light and darkness respectively.

There is no real symbolism behind this Real Madrid away kit, only that it’s a reference to one they wore over a decade ago. Despite the complaints about it being a copy of the Wolves attire, the 24/25 Los Blancos away jersey leak has also attracted praise for its beautiful design.

FootyHeadlines claims that the kit is likely to be released in June or July, in time for Los Blancos to debut it in their pre-season campaign. With the current Real Madrid away attire being sold for around £140 on their official online store, the 24/25 one is definitely going to cost at upwards of £150 upon its release. Even if it might seem a lookalike of the Wolves home shirt, but there is already enough buzz about this vibrant Real Madrid away attire to ensure that it’ll sell like hot cake upon its release.
