Cole Palmer has been one of the most impactful player for Chelsea and England national team this season. The 22-year-old attack midfielder’s jaw-dropping skills are a talking point for football fans around the world. However, recently, his receding hairline has been widely discussed in the world of social media.
Fans and critics alike have been discussing whether or not Cole Palmer has been losing his hairline. Some social media users can visibly notice Palmer with weaker, shorter hair as compared to his days in Manchester City.
People have been posting old photographs of Cole Palmer with visibly thicker and healthier hair.
Palmer was an academy graduate of Manchester City and stayed at the Etihad for three seasons playing a total of 19 matches in all competitions before moving to Chelsea for a fee of £40 million in 2023.
Over the past few years, there are some visible attempts from the players himself to hide his receding hairline by having a haircut and constantly changing his hair color.
Some users have also made fun of Palmer allegedly hiding his hairline loss. People exclaimed that the 22-year-old Chelsea player would have been a contender for the prestigious Ballon D’or award if only he had a sincere look and a healthier hairline.
Is Hairline loss genetic ?
Yes, a receding hairline can be genetic. Scientists submit that a receding hairline is a hereditary trait that affects both males and females. If you have a genetic predisposition to hair loss, your hair follicles will eventually shrink and stop growing hair. The timing of hair loss is often similar from one generation to the next.
Palmer family’s hairline history
From pictures of his family members that either Cole or his family members have shared, it appears that Palmer family does have a history of hairline loss. While Palmer’s mother and sister appear to have relatively healthy hair by their appearance on his social media posts, Palmer’s grandfather Sterry Cole is visibly bald and has been like that for a while now. His father, however did appear to have a healthy hairline in the past but that appears to be changing. This concludes that Palmers do have a history of hair loss and it appears to be a genetic problem.
