Fans Roast EA Over Ange Postecoglou’s Face Scan in FC 25 Beta: ‘Australian Gigachad’

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou isn’t really the most charming person in terms of his appearance. He comes off as a scruffy, 70s manager who doesn’t pay much attention to fine-tuning his looks.

Well, Postecoglou certainly doesn’t come off as a scruffy, white-bearded and 58-year-old in EA’s latest FC 25. The beta version of the game has been released for selective gamers, who leaked how inaccurate their rendition of the Australian coach is right now.

FC 25 is poised to release across different platforms on September 27. EA have promised to introduce more managers into the game to improve the realistic nature and ensure that visuals of the touchline look better than ever.

They have already released a beta version of the game to a limited set of players, who were able to recognize how badly they’ve messed up the Australian gaffer’s face scan.

On the first look, it’ll be hard for even Spurs diehards to recognize this person as their manager. That is because there doesn’t seem to be any resemblance to the FC 25 Ange Postecoglou with the scruffy, bearded real bloke that is preparing the Lilywhites to begin their 2024/25 Premier League season with a bang.

For one, the EA-designed Postecoglou’s face is much thinner than it is in real life. The game designed version does not even have the same eye-structure as the real Ange or the facial features of the manager. In fact, the current FC 25 beta version of the 58-year-old manager looks much younger than him and doesn’t even seem to have much of the white beard.

Fans are having a ton of fun in making fun of EA’s epic fail of the Spurs manager. This in-game version of the coach is being compared to look more similar to Hollywood stars like Zac Efron or Chris Pine rather than the Aussie-gaffer himself. Some are even likening this version of Ange to look like the ‘Gigachad’ meme from social media.

What is rather curious about this entire thing is that EA had actually featured Postecoglou in their FC 25 gameplay trailer that was recently launched.

In the trailer, a small glimpse of the Spurs gaffer could be seen as he is giving an instruction to his captain Son Heung-min and both of them look extremely realistic in the trailer.

In fact, the trailer version of Postecoglou looks extremely similar to him in real life and completely different to what has been presented in FC 25’s beta version.

It seems Ange hasn’t received a face scan yet and is currently sporting a “cranium face.”

Cranium, a groundbreaking AI system, can generate faces without the need for scans. This means teams without access to face scanning technology can still have custom faces in the game.

More details on this exciting feature are expected soon. It has the potential to significantly reduce, if not eliminate, generic faces from the game entirely.

The developers are yet to respond to the complaints about Postecoglou’s model in the beta version and are likely to get it fixed before the actual game launches in late September.

Knowing Big Ange, he might get a real laugh of how his appearance has been ruined in the FC 25 beta version.

He’s currently much more busy with putting the final touches to Tottenham’s pre-season plans and getting his tactics perfect to ensure that the Lilywhites have a stable and consistent 2024/25 season and can finally put an end to their 15-year-long trophy drought.
