Thogden has shaped himself into one of the most notable Football YouTubers on social media. With over 1.8 million subscribers on his channel, the content creator has earned his popularity for creating unique matchday vlogs covering clubs from around the globe and giving the ‘fans view’ of how a match is experienced.
Despite his growing popularity, Thogden is also a divisive figure on social media. The majority of people to loathe him are actually match-going fans who believe that Thogden often ‘steals’ the seat of a club’s devoted fan whenever he gets a ticket to watch a match from the stands. He’s also been criticized for lacking authenticity and doing all this for his own promotion rather than for the love of covering football matches.
Well, it now appears that these people have found the perfect material to criticize Thogden with. That is because the 23-year-old YouTuber has recently been caught sliding into the comments section of popular UK-based lifestyle vlogger Ami Charlize.
For those unknowing, Charlize is quite a prominent social media figure with over 3.5 million followers on TikTok and over 690,000 followers on her Instagram. On top of that, she also operates a successful YouTube channel that has over 350,000 subscribers too.
Charlize mostly posts clips of her daily life activities on her social media platform. On YouTube, she’s mostly posting lengthy vlogs of her hanging out with friends, visiting certain places or also behind-the-scenes material of her modeling gigs. She also posts material on make-up vlogs for her followers and has seen her popularity soar over the last few years.
What people find most questionable about Thogden’s interaction with Charlize is that Ami actually only just recently turned 17. Thogden (whose real name is Theo Ogden) is currently 23, so the point of him interacting with a female six years younger than him and yet to turn into an adult has infuriated many people.
Thogden just posted three smiling face with heart emojis on Charlize’s post of her visiting a Taylor Swift concert as part of her ‘Eras Tour’. That doesn’t necessarily indicate that he’s trying to flirt with the teenager and could actually be a case of him loving her experience of the Eras tour.
But most fans seem to be noticing how awkward and weird this interaction from a 23-man could be towards a teenager. He’s being barraged with comments labeling him as a paedophile and slamming him for being strange enough to try and show love for someone six years young.
Thogden is also earning criticism for sliding into the comments of the popular UK TikTok star despite having his own girlfriend. The football YouTuber has not yet exactly responded to being slammed on interacting with the 17-year-old lifestyle Vlogger and is probably just waiting for this online storm to ride itself out.
In fact, amid all the criticism over this, Thogden released a new video on his channel in which he and his dad predict the final standings for all major football leagues around the globe. He’s yet to visit any stadium to watch matches in the 2024/25 season, but his matchday vlogs should be expected to roll out in large numbers until the end of the campaign.
