Trossard, Salah, Haaland & More: The Viral Celebrations You Missed This Weekend

Trossard, Salah, Haaland & More: The Viral Celebrations You Missed This Weekend

Trossard’s mute celebration

Belgian winger Leandro Trossard took less than two minutes to find the back of the net in Arsenal’s win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta brought Trossard on for Gabriel Martinelli in the 65th minute and the substitution paid off, with Trossard taking no time to break the deadlock between the two sides. Perhaps what was more surprising than the goal, was the celebration by Trossard.

Trossard, who is famous for his goggles celebration, this time around chose to have a mute celebration while his teammates swamped him. It was only after repeated requests from teammate William Saliba that Trossard brought out the goggles celebration.

Well why were the goggles not out in the first place? Arteta later revealed that Trossard was unhappy not being picked over Martinelli.

The celebration was Trossard’s way to send a message to Arteta, what more could he possibly do to start and not be benched. Arteta finished by saying that he showed that he is upset in a good way, performing on the pitch and not by reacting badly, which is a huge quality.

Haaland and KSI’s link up

In Manchester, Ipswich were flattened by Pep Guardiola’s men as Erling Haaland bagged his first hat-trick of the season.

Following a clinical finish for his second goal, Haaland pulled off a rather amusing celebration that he has not done before. The fans were treated to Haaland bouncing his arms held wide before he punched the corner flag.

Perhaps the most ecstatic with this celebration will be KSI, UK Youtuber, Boxer and Musician, who had asked Haaland to do the celebration in a video posted online.

Turns out the celebration is a nod to KSI’s  unorthodox boxing style that has been memed on the internet before, where KSI jumps and almost flaps his arms in the ring.

KSI later took to social media platform X when Haaland actually did the celebration, the two have often been in videos online as Haaland is a Prime Hydration athlete, a company owned by KSI and Logan Paul.

Jackson copies Palmer

Chelsea’s 6-2 drubbing of Wolves did not disappoint in terms of goals or celebrations.

A photo emerged where Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson can be seen copying Cole Palmer’s trademark “Cold” Palmer celebration where he rubs his shoulders to depict his ice cold demeanour.

As it turns out Jackson has been seen copying Palmer’s celebrations on different occasions from last season.

Fans love Salah’s new bow and arrow

Mo Salah netted his second goal of the season in Liverpool’s home win against Brentford. Salah, who usually doesn’t have any extravagant celebrations after he scores, has now found a new one and the fans are loving it.

The Egyptian King has now started rocking the bow and arrow celebration, in which after scoring Salah celebrated by mimicking firing two arrows and then jumping into the air.

The bow and arrow celebration is not new, in fact it is synonymous with striker Edinson Cavani who goes on one knee and mimics firing a single arrow, almost like a sharpshooter.

Salah has pulled out the bow and arrow both times he’s scored, much to the delight of Liverpool fans who believe it marks a new era under manager Arne Slot.

Mason Greenwood, Marseille’s new hero

Marseille‘s new signing Mason Greenwood has settled in perfectly, scoring thrice in two games for the French outfit

The Englishman’s equalizer against Reims saw the crowd burst into celebration, with Greenwood asking the crowd to be as loud as they could and then pumps his fists. Fans, especially Man United fans on twitter are happy to see the once golden boy’s career back on track.
