Marc Guiu’s Hairstyle Journey from Casual to Eminem Blonde and Back Again

Barcelona, Chelsea, Marc Guiu

Marc Guiu ended up being the surprise striker signing made by Chelsea in the 2024 summer transfer window. The Spanish forward, who spent the last 11 years at Barcelona after coming through their acclaimed La Masia youth academy, opted for a change in environment by moving to England.

Guiu is facing certain teething issues as he tries his best to adapt to the change in intensity and playing style from Spain to England. He unfortunately went viral for the wrong reasons in his European debut for Chelsea, as he produced an awful open-net miss in the Blues’ UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier against Servette.

But the 19-year-old is getting a lot of support from Enzo Maresca and co to achieve his ultimate potential at Stamford Bridge after proving himself as a lethal goal-scorer for Barcelona’s youth teams. He is keeping himself humble after the big jump in his career, as he noted after his Chelsea move: “I would say my strength is goal-scoring but I’m a humble guy and selfless.

“I like to give my all for my teammates. I’ve always been that way and will continue to be. I also like to train so that I’m improving every day.”

He is not only an electric no.9, but also seems to be quite the style enthusiast when it comes to changing up his looks.

The Early 2023 Guiu Hairstyle

Guiu has this particular affection towards trying out different hairstyles. Now this isn’t something out-of-the-ordinary, as many young footballers opt to change up their appearance to find out which suits them the best. But the Spanish forward has already tried out a variety of different hairstyle routines since gaining prominence over the last year or so.

Marc Guiu Before His Major Breakthrough

When he broke into the Barcelona senior squad last season, Guiu had a relatively normal hair get-up. He just went with a slightly-browinish fluffy hair style, where it can be clearly seen that the forward didn’t really pay that much attention or importance of styling his hair. He actually looked quite nice with the slightly messed up hair and it reflected his reputation as a young gun quite nicely.

But once he started gaining some fame after scoring his first La Liga goal for Barcelona in their 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in the 2023-24 season, Guiu started to try out different fashions. At one point of last season, the Spaniard bleached his hair and went totally blonde. Not only that, but he trimmed down his hair to a very short and well-structured style before turning it a blonde color – something which many footballers opt to do at some points of their careers.

The Mix Of Blonde And Black In Early 2024

Guiu kept that clean blonde look for a while before probably realizing that it didn’t exactly suit him, considering that he mostly kept a brunette shade. Instead, he opted to tweak his hairstyle a little bit soon afterwards and allowed the blonde shade to start being worn out. As a result, his hair turned into a mixture of blonde and brunette – mostly having a relatively yellow shade along with strands of black hair.

After joining the Premier League giants in the summer, the Spanish forward opted to change up his hairstyle a bit more to celebrate his journey towards a new experience.

The 2024/25 Season Look at Chelsea

He no longer has that bleach blonde color to his hair, but his hair is now a shade of yellow and brown – creating a rather unique look. He’s also gone back to the fluffy and messy hairstyle and letting his hair grow out a little bit, making him stand out from the others in the Chelsea squad.

Marc Guiu’s New Hairstyle At Chelsea

Even though he might get the fashion game spot on, Guiu needs to ultimately focus more on his on-pitch activities. He’s yet to score any goal for Chelsea and with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice in the Blues’ first three Premier League games of the 2024/25 season – the Spanish forward has to rediscover his goal-scoring heroics to be a long-term success at Stamford Bridge.
