18 year old Brazilian and Real Madrid forward Endrick had a meteoric rise to fame after his move from Palmeiras to Real Madrid in the summer. He’s scored twice for Madrid in 9 games and 3 times for his country in 11 games.
Recently, while on international break, a clip of Endrick signing autographs started doing the rounds on social media platforms. But the reason for it’s virality is that Endrick’s mind in this whole video is clearly elsewhere.
The big reveal?
Endrick was fully engrossed in the popular mobile strategy game- Clash Royale. And he wasn’t just loading the game up or had the home screen of the game up, he was mid battle and deploying troops in the game while signing these autographs.
Endrick didn’t pause the game to focus on his fan, he seamlessly managed to juggle both—signing autographs while making strategic moves in the game.
Clash Royale is a world famous game that has over 600 million downloads worldwide that focuses on strategy and real time multiplayer battles.
It’s especially favored among the younger generation as it is fast paced and not complex to understand or get a hang of. It involves card collecting and deploying off troops for those who want to go ahead and try their hand at the game.
Another attractive point is that even though it is a mobile game, the graphics the game has are pretty good.
While Endrick is an avid enjoyer of the game, Man City striker Erling Haaland became the first real person to be a part of the game.
The Norwegian had his own card in game termed as the “Barbarian King” as part of a football-themed seasonal game event. Barca midfielder Pedri is also reportedly an enjoyer of Clash Royale.
While not much is known about footballers enjoying mobile gaming, there’s no shortage of the gaming world and football merging, as Neymar, Griezmann and Aguero have gone as far as streaming gameplay online.
