Arsenal fans have taken to social media to express their concern over Raheem Sterling’s apparent weight gain, after a recent training photo surfaced online.
The image, which circulated following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool on October 27th, 2024, shows Sterling with a noticeable belly, prompting fans to question his professionalism and dedication to the club.
While the 29-year-old is officially listed at 69kg, the recent photo suggests a significant increase in weight.
looks like one of those washed olders you’d see on the block all day in a vest with a maggy and a towel over his head https://t.co/Mkb4mtyeBG

Fans have drawn parallels to the infamous image of former Arsenal player Willian, who was heavily criticized for his physique during his time at the club.
Willian had initially joined Arsenal on a free transfer in August 2020 after leaving Chelsea, but his time at Arsenal was underwhelming, with just one goal in 25 league appearances
In a similar manner, Raheem Sterling’s transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal has been quite eventful.
After being frozen out by new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, who made it clear that Sterling wasn’t part of his plans, the England international joined Arsenal on a season-long loan on August 31, 20241.
This move reunited him with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who was an assistant coach during Sterling’s time at Manchester City.
Sterling’s move came after he made 81 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 19 goals since joining from Manchester City in 20221.
At Arsenal, he’s already made 7 appearances, scoring one goal.
However, his future at Arsenal remains uncertain due to his high wages and Chelsea’s valuation of him at £25 million, while Arsenal is only willing to pay around £15 million.
