Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra took a hilarious dig at rival club Arsenal on Rio Ferdinand’s podcast Rio Ferdinand presents FIVE.
The show kicks off on this back and forth note of banter with Evra insisting his former side shouldn’t be compared with North London title challengers Arsenal despite United’s abysmal start to the season.
Evra compares Arsenal to that of a Netflix show, “I respect Arsenal, but watching Arsenal is [like] watching Netflix. You always wait for the next season.”
While he takes this rather brutal, yet funny dig at Arteta’s side he also acknowledges that his former club isn’t in the best of scenarios as well, “Of course, United are a disaster right now but please don’t compare with Arsenal.”

This comparison likely draws on the “trust the process” mantra associated with Mikel Arteta, who has spent multiple seasons reshaping the club.
After securing second place in the league in the past two years, they once again look forward to the next season to bring home some silverware.
The truth is although the Red Devils have been poor, ending last season in 8th and currently sitting 21st in the Europa League and 14th in the EPL on a negative goal difference, now former manager Ten Hag did manage to win the FA Cup while Arsenal have not won anything since their own FA Cup win in 2020.
