The Bond of Ruben Dias and Rodri Shines at the Ballon d’Or

Ballon d'Or, Manchester City, Rodri, Ruben Dias

Rodri became the second Spanish player to win the Ballon d’Or award by piping Vinicius Jr to it.

The Manchester City midfielder arrived at the ceremony walking with crutches, as he recently underwent knee surgery, but had his best buddy Ruben Dias right there to aid him.

The two have become very close plans since Dias joined the Cityzens in 2020 and proved how sweet their bromance is during the ceremony.

As Rodri was announced as the winner, he was overcome with emotions and needed some help to get up the stage due to his injury.

Dias was the first person to help him stand up and properly get the crutches beneath his underarms.

The Portuguese defender looked like the happiest person in the room for his teammate’s achievement and Rodri’s first embrace after being announced the Ballon d’Or was with Ruben too.

Before the ceremony, Dias had advocated Rodri to win the prize and saw his dream come true.

The defender could not guide his teammate up the stairs into the podium because co-host Didier Drogba was assigned to do just that.

Despite that, the defender had the biggest smile on him as Rodri gave his speech and their sweet bromance shows just how devoted buddies the two Manchester City stars are.
