Noni Madueke arrived at Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven with high potential and expectations to have a strong break into the Chelsea side.
At the age of 22, the winger has had what can be described as a topsy turvy start to the season under Enzo Maresca, and the stats say that too. While the goal tally will read 4 in 9 games for Madueke, the reality is that he scored 3 of those goals against a hapless Wolves side on August 25th. Since then he has only managed a goal and an assist.
His recent performances against the likes of tougher opponents in Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool have left little to be desired.
One fan seemed to have a rather over the top salty reaction towards Madueke’s actions after one of these games where he wasn’t at his best.
A TikToker with the account handle yusuf2x turned his frustrations on social media into what is a big spectacle in the football twitter world. It all started when Yusuf visited the Stamford Bridge to watch his Chelsea side play in the Conference League.
After the game was done, Yusuf reportedly waited for over 2 hours at the exit tunnel to grab a photo with Noni Madueke- but he failed to do so.
When Madueke left without stopping, possibly casting an unintentional side-eye as he passed, it ignited a social media mini-saga that has since gone viral.
Feeling snubbed, Yusuf posted a TikTok titled “Fraud Watch??” where he expressed his dissatisfaction with Madueke’s recent form.
“I can’t be the first person to point this out,” Yusuf began in his video, “how Madueke has been stinking out the place as of recent. Ever since that hat-trick against Wolves, please tell me one thing he’s done since then.”
In his rant, Yusuf called out Madueke’s recent displays, citing how he was “pocketed” by Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui, who isn’t even a natural left-back.
The Chelsea fan went on to criticize Madueke’s “comfortable” starting role, suggesting he should “touch the bench”.
He also brought up Brazilian youngster Estevao who joins Chelsea at the start of the 2025 season, claiming that he was coming for Madueke’s starting sport- implying that Madueke would soon be warming the bench.
Madueke, catching wind of the video, decided to respond directly on TikTok- a move that doesn’t end well for either parties and usually has more adverse effects for the footballer itself.
With a touch of sarcasm, he replied, “Broo next time you want a picture speak up a bit don’t be shy”. This light-hearted jab sparked and split the fans into two camps.
Some supported Madueke, arguing that he has no obligation to stop for photos and that Yusuf overreacted. “Madueke doesn’t owe anyone a selfie,” commented one fan, defending the Chelsea star’s choice to move on without stopping.
On the other side, some sympathized with Yusuf, suggesting Madueke could focus more on his game rather than clapping back at fans online. “No need for Madueke to react to hate; he should focus on proving himself on the pitch,” voiced another fan.
This feud in our view has blown out of proportion for a fan reaction that should have gone relatively quiet instead of becoming the saga that it has.
In a follow-up TikTok, Yusuf didn’t hold back, stating, “Listen here, Noni. I was meant to be a lowkey hater, but from today, you will see how much I hate you.” He then added a bit of drama, saying, “I beg you drop another stinker and you won’t see the end of it. Trust me.”
This probably means that Yusuf’s account, which now seems to be a Madueke hate account will only get worse if Madueke’s poor run of form continues as is.
