Marcus Rashford didn’t make the cut for England’s Nation’s League games against Greece and Ireland, so he decided to spend some time away from the sport and decided to take a trip to New York.
On 16th November Rashford attended the New York Knicks’ NBA Cup game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Madison Square Garden.
Sat courtside, dripped out, the Man United forward even received a post game memento from Knicks star Jalen Brunson- a signed jersey.
The Englishman’s get-up included a striking white fur $20k Louis Vuitton jacket layered over a simple black T-shirt, complemented by sparkling jewelry.
What was a tad bit intriguing, is Rashford’s choice to wear LV over Burberry. While he’s worked with both brands in the past, maybe a recency bias made him favour LV.
Let’s take a look at some of Marcus Rashford’s sponsorships and endorsements:
Rashford x Burberry
In 2020, Rashford was announced as Burberry’s Winter Ambassador, a collaboration that extended beyond fashion. While the Englishman modeled a white, red and black zip up, a black coat- they also launched initiatives to support underprivileged youth, aligning perfectly with Rashford’s philanthropic work.
Though the financial terms of the endorsement remain undisclosed, the partnership symbolized more than a business deal—it was a shared commitment to social good.
Rashford’s New Ties with Louis Vuitton
Despite his Burberry roots, Rashford’s fashion repertoire isn’t confined to one brand. This summer, he attended Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 show in Paris, joining stars like Jude Bellingham and Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown.
Rashford’s ensemble for the event—a green cotton coach jacket and LV Chain Links necklace. The green jacket had the word Vuitton embossed across the front on a white background.
This seemed to be more of a one-off event rather than an endorsement or sponsorship between the two parties, as there was no further involvement between the brand and Rashford.
Rashford x Levi’s
Once again Rashford’s fashion portfolio also incorporates doing something for the betterment of the world around us.
He serves as a global ambassador for Levi’s’ “Buy Better, Wear Longer” campaign. Focused on sustainability, the campaign urges consumers to make mindful fashion choices, such as extending the life of their clothing.
Rashford joined other activists, including Jaden Smith and Emma Chamberlain, in highlighting the environmental impact of fast fashion.
In a personal film for the campaign, Rashford shared his desire to give children the chance to excel, regardless of their backgrounds.
Rashford x Nike- Lifelong Commitment
Among Rashford’s longest-standing sponsorships is his deal with Nike, which began when he was just 11 years old.
In October 2023, Nike and Rashford unveiled his first signature football boots—the Mercurial Superfly—and a lifestyle collection. The designs featured soundwave-inspired graphics, symbolizing Rashford’s goal of uplifting others. The collection also included Air Max Pulse sneakers, tees, and tracksuits, blending football culture with everyday fashion.
Once again the financial details of this partnership remain undisclosed but it’s likely that Rashford received a percentage of all sales from this collaboration, over the top of the sponsorship amount.
From Louis Vuitton shows, to charitable Burberry endorsements and Levi’s sustainability message, Rashford’s endorsements embodies a luxury ethos while also playing into his philanthropic nature.
