AC Milan have launched a special kit to celebrate their 125th anniversary, which the club will celebrate on 13 December.
The Rossoneri are one of the most decorated clubs in Italian Football and have gone back to their club roots in designing this new ‘anniversary kit’.
Along with the help of their shirt manufacturers Puma, AC Milan have launched this kit that is inspired by their fans’ choices.
Indeed, well before designing this kit, Milan had allowed their fans to vote for it in May 2023 – giving them multiple designs and even options for the logo of the club crest to be placed in front of the shirt.
After taking their fans’ votes into consideration, Milan have launched this red and black striped kits with zero sponsor logos or any extravagant patterns.

It’s a very simple striped shirt with a vintage club crest logo. The striped design was first worn by AC Milan in the 1950s and has since become synonymous with the club.
This logo is much bigger than the Rossoneri’s current crest as it’s the first one used by the club in the 20th century. The logo is basically separated by multiple elements. In the bottom, the words ‘Milan Football and Cricket club’ is written in a golden field.
Above it are two flags placed parallel to each other. On the left side is the red and black design of the club’s colors and next to it is a red and white flag. This ‘flag’ is actually Coat of Arms, the flag of Milan – which was worn by the club from their origins until the 1940s.
What is rather fascinating is that AC Milan have only launched full-sleeve versions of this anniversary kit. The goalkeeper jersey launched is a plain black attire with the logo on front. There is also a ‘Diavoletto’ symbol in the shirt, which is defined as: “The Diavoletto (Little Devil), an emblematic symbol of AC Milan during the 1980s, is printed inside the jersey, accompanied by the inscription AC Milan 125, marking this momentous milestone in the Club’s history.”
AC Milan launched the kit on 5 December so that their supporters around the world can get their hands onto it before the 125th anniversary. Well, this certainly isn’t cheap. The kit is available on AC Milan’s official online store as well as Puma’s official website.
The gorgeous full-sleeve shirt can be bought for £130 (plus extra shipping charges) and the white shorts, which also feature the unique logo, have been priced at £43.
Even the special black socks launched for this occasion is priced at a whopping £18. The goalkeeper shirt and shorts are the same price as the players’ one, meaning the entire jersey will cost someone £191 plus potential extra shipping charges. That isn’t stopping AC Milan fans from splurging on the impressive attire.
In fact, the limited edition version of the kit is already sold out on their online store and it was priced at £180. AC Milan also launched a rare ‘125th Anniversary Players’ Signed’ version of this kit, which will feature signatures of the players who start the Rossoneri’s match against Genoa on 15 December.
This was only available on pre-order, but has still been sold out despite its £1,335 price. Puma look to have hit a gold mine in designing this beautiful retro kit with zero sponsor logos in sight. The kit has already started selling like hot cake, as the Rossoneri and Puma can probably expect to make a significant profit from it by the end of this year.
