Amad Diallo Recreates ‘Kid Beat Up’ Meme With Awkward Pep Guardiola Handshake

Amad Diallo, Manchester City, Manchester United, Pep Guardiola

Amad Diallo became the ultimate hero for Manchester United fans by playing a sensational role in their 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The Red Devils produced a memorable comeback in Ruben Amorim’s first Manchester Derby, embarrassing the Cityzens by scoring twice in the last few minutes to snatch all three points.

The Ivory Coast winger played a particularly huge role in the comeback, as he earned the penalty that was converted by Bruno Fernandes with some impressive trickery. The 22-year-old then sneaked past the Manchester City defenders to score a winner, making himself the ultimate derby hero.

After the game, Amad was mobbed by his teammates and strongly praised for his heroics. He also managed to bump into Pep Guardiola in the middle of the park as the two sets of teams partook in the post-match traditions. DIallo was respectful enough to offer a handshake to the Manchester City boss, who looked completely heartbroken and stunned that the winger came up to him for a handshake.

It turns out that the Ivorian winger was also able to recreate a popular social media meme with his funny little interaction with Guardiola. His little moment has been compared to a meme which shows a schoolboy standing beside another hurt kid, who has a big red mark on his eye. The meme has the caption: ‘He banged this guy’s face off and made him take a pic with him’.

Basically, the meme made fun of the white kid for being forced to take the picture with the other teenager who beat him up as the ultimate mark of shame. The exact identities of the two individuals in this meme is still unknown, but it probably happened around the area of ‘Lambeth’ in London and was the result of a beef between the two children in school.

There have even been claims on Reddit that the white teenager who got beaten up in this fight ended up being charged for committing a murder on a civilian police. This is not clear at all because the identity of the child is not clear yet, neither is that of the colored teenager standing beside him in this popular meme.

Fans are trying to compare the Amad Diallo-Pep Guardiola handshake picture with this meme, claiming that the Manchester United winger replicated it with the Spanish gaffer. There is a feeling that with his brilliant goal contributions towards the end, Diallo left Guardiola in a ‘broken state’ like the beaten-up kid in the meme.

That is because Guardiola’s physical condition has seemingly been getting worse in recent months, with the loss to Manchester United marking the Cityzens’ eighth defeat in their last 11 games. The Spanish gaffer even admitted that ‘I am not doing well’ after the loss to United, and their supporters are reveling at how Amad managed to rough him up by dealing the devastating late blows in the derby.

The Ivorian winger took his tally to four goals and six assists in 23 appearances for the Red Devils this season, but his ability to spark this kind of a post-match reaction from Guardiola makes his Derby goal all the more sweeter.
