Budget Forward Line

How to Build an OP Forward Line within £20M in FPL?

FPL, FPL Forwards

FPL and life are converging lines. They share much more than an uncanny resemblance.

Both give you a gentle reminder — that you lack control over the proceedings that affect you. Also, there are zillion ways to approach the question. But you remain responsible for the choices and their consequences.

One way of doing it is to make a midfield-heavy FPL team. Maybe Salah(£13.6m), Palmer(£11.4.6m), Saka(£10.2m) (injured at the moment) or Son(£9.8m) and De Bruyne(£9.4m) or Bruno(£8.3m) or Mbeumo  — all together, forming a galactico of sorts.

However, pulling this off isn’t easy even on paper (read screen). You have to flex your muscles with enough money in the bank.

The same goes with any alternative plan involving three premium midfield picks joining someone like Trent Alexander Arnold(£7.2m) from defense.

That’s why, we are here with ‘an offer you can’t refuse’ — an entire forward line within £20m that can be a trusted source to amass points. Here we go!

Raul Jimenez (£5.6m)

Jimenez seems not only a must-have but the first name on your budget forward lineup in FPL. After three consecutive blank gameweeks and huge sell-offs, the Mexican striker smacked as many as 22 points in his last two encounters.

Having Jimenez is as much fun as having nachos or burritos. And it just doubled up due to the upcoming double plum fixture — against West Ham United in GW21 and Leicester City in GW22.

Eight goals, two assists with an xG per 90’ of 0.55 — all under £6m. A crazy bargain indeed!

Chris Wood (£6.8m)

Chris Wood has been a revelation in Fantasy Premier League 2024-25. Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that this New Zealander would have 12 goals next to his name after GW20?

Things are more overwhelming than they appear in the first place. Both in life and in FPL. Otherwise, how could Wood score 12 goals with a total xG of only 7.12?

Chris must have lost his lucky pair of boots between GW16 and 18 when he disappointed his managers with three blanks on the trot. But GW19 marked his return to form and he has now scored 20 pts in his last two outings.

After locking horns with league leaders Liverpool at home in GW21, Woods has Southampton, Bournemouth, Brighton, and Fulham in the following four. In short, be prepared to watch another goal fest from the Forest ‘Fox in the Box’.

Gabriel Jesus (£6.9m)

Gabriel Jesus in a Manchester City shirt is someone to have your money on, even during Russian Roulette. But Gabriel Jesus in an Arsenal shirt is not an exciting image. No match. Completely different breeds.

This is what the prevalent notion was when the current FPL season kick-started in August. But Jesus was resurrected days before Christmas!

In GW17, we saw vintage Gabriel Jesus against Crystal Palace. Thanks to a brace and an assist, Jesus raked in 16 pts.

He hammered home the idea that his heroics against Palace were no fluke, as he scored 12 pts against Brentford in another away assignment.

Though he failed to find the back of the net against Brighton last week,  Jesus can easily slot into your budget forward line in FPL. He will be up against teams like Wolves, Leicester, and West Ham United in the next six. And this Jesus is not known for showing mercy.
