Antonee Robinson

Is Robinson the Most Attacking Defender in the Game and a Must-Own Now?

FPL Defenders, Robinson

There’s no stopping Antonee Robinson. The Fulham side back, who mostly plays in an advanced position on the left flank, has come up with another brace of assists last night.

Robinson is a key player for Fulham, with 21 starts in 21 games so far. He can be easily termed as the ‘Assist God’ in FPL as he stands third at the moment, with as many as nine assists.

Only Salah and Saka are ahead of him in the list. One must remember that unlike the midfielder duo, Robinson is still a defender.

In Fantasy Premier League 2024-25, the Fulham defence is not something worth investing in when it comes to keeping clean sheets. Take Robinson’s example. He has kept only three clean sheets so far.

Making a tally of 75pts without any consistency over clean sheets, is no mean feat for a defender. Usually, he plays high up the pitch and displays high standards in the attacking third.

Robinson has it in his skins to make statement performances against top-notch sides. Like, in Fulham’s 2-2 deadlock against table toppers, Liverpool, he registered two assists.

See, clean sheets are becoming a rarity these days. In such a scenario, having somebody like Robinson in your fantasy lineup can be a smart move.

When we are nearing the end of GW21, Robinson has become a template pick with more than 25% ownership. Also, his budget price-point of £5m, makes him an even more appealing FPL asset.

Fulham faces Leicester City next, the fairytale scriptors of 2016 who are now struggling to avoid relegation. Also, Palace and Wolves in the next six. Therefore, ample chances for Robinson to make it big and offer splendid attacking returns for his FPL managers.

There are some tough fixtures in between and also following these relatively easy fixtures. But Robinson can punish you big time if you bench him.  Hence, he is a long-term hold. If Robinson is not there in your FPL team, bring him in immediately.
