Manchester United’s embarrassment continued in the 2024/25 season with a damning 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion. This marked their 10th defeat in 22 Premier League games this season, causing Ruben Amorim to label them as ‘the worst Manchester United in history’.
Despite their issues on the pitch, the Red Devils’ first-team squad players are all living lavish lives. At £190.3 million-per-year, Manchester United have one of the highest wage bills in world football. They pay over £3 million to their first-team players every week. The players are given the necessities of being satisfied in their personal lives and the ability to afford luxury assets.
So it’s not at all surprising that the Red Devils’ first team squad boasts a range of expensive cars that they drive around, be it for getting to training or personal use. If a fan stands outside the club’s Carrington training facility on a non-matchday, they’d probably get a closer glimpse at the kind of luxurious vehicles the players get around on.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes loves driving around on his Bentley Bentayga model. This is a luxury SUV vehicle, with the Portuguese midfielder going with the all-back paint as well. This car is a premium vehicle, with the base hybrid petrol model ranging from £156,000-£169,000 in the UK, while the automatic petrol model can range from £172,000-£198,000 as well. He has also been seen driving around a Porsche Panamera Turbo S in the past, which costs £150,000.
Lisandro Martinez, however, is a real connoisseur of luxury vehicle and even manages to oust Fernandes’ expensive car. The Argentine centre-back has been seen driving Manuel Ugarte to training and he owns a £350,000-worth Rolls Royce Cullinan. This is a sport utility vehicle, that boasts 563 bhp (break horsepower) and a sophisticated interior design.
The Range Rover 2024 car is also a pretty popular one among multiple Manchester United players.
Alejandro Garnacho owns a slick-white Range Rover 2024 which he drives around, while summer signing Joshua Zirkzee also owns a black version of this vehicle.
The Range Rover 2024’s starting price in the UK is £104,000+, as the price can range up to £207,000 depending on the model and modifications. Matthijs de Ligt has also preferred to ride around in the Range Rover since arriving at Old Trafford, with his edition costing £120,000. Even underperforming forward Rasmus Hojlund has driven to training sessions in a slick black Range Rover.
Andre Onana, who earned criticism for his awful errors leading to the loss to Brighton, is quite the car enthusiast himself. He has been seen driving around a Porsche Cayenne to Manchester United training, which starts from around £70,000.
Harry Maguire has been captured driving around a Range Rover SUV in the past too, but he’s currently banned from driving because of a past speeding issue.
Kobbie Mainoo, who is rumoured to be earning just £20,000-a-week at Old Trafford, has been pictured driving in a Mercedes A-class and was also reportedly gifted a £80,000-worth BMW X4 by the club.
Diogo Dalot seems to be a big fan of Mercedes, as he owns the Mercedes-Benz W463 edition. This black luxury SUV has a pricey tag of £136,000 to £203,000. Like him, Altay Bayindir also likes driving around a Mercedes SUV vehicle to training.
Noussair Mazraoui, who has arguably been Manchester United’s most profitable summer signing from 2024, also owns a Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition. This 542 horsepower luxury SUV reportedly cost him £200,000. But it’s not the case that only the regular starters at Manchester United get to drive around expensive cars. Some of the players on the bench or seemingly out of the club are also blessed with expensive vehicles.
Marcus Rashford might be out of the squad after being barred by Ruben Amorim’s, but his £325,000-a-week wages have granted him a super rich lifestyle. He owns both the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the McLaren 765LT edition, often driving the latter into training as well.
Antony, who looks set to move to Real Betis, owns a Lamborghini Aventador, that can cost from £160,000-£500,000 in the UK. Casemiro has also fallen out of favor, but at least he can boast his ability to drive around a Rollys Royce Wraith – which costs over £280,000.
Even Ruben Amorim himself is also a fan of supercars as well. He likes driving around in a £180,000 electric Porsche Taycan Turbo Estate as well. It’s clear that the Manchester United squad has a sweet taste of driving around expensive cars, but it’s now time for them to reward the club for paying them big bucks by steadying this shaky season and winning some silverware towards the end of the 2024/25 season.
