FPL Guide: Check out the Prices of Every ‘Assistant Manager’ Available under the New Assistant Manager Chip

Assistant Manager Chip, FPL, FPL Chips

When the wintry air that brings the January transfer news, goes out of the window and the dust is about to settle, the world of FPL will experience a major shake-up. The Fantasy Premier League 2024-25 is entirely different from its previous editions.

In the busy summer of crazy transfers and sweet, little pre-season friendlies, we came across the news of an all-new ‘Mystery Chip’ being added to the mix of four pre-existing regular chips — Bench Boost, Triple Captain, Free Hit, and Wildcard.

We could play all these chips once in a season, barring the Wildcard, which could be played twice within a particular fantasy season. Now, the FPL managers went hammer and tongs to find out what could be this new ‘Mystery Chip’. There were ‘free hits’ on ‘wild’ guesses across fantasy communities.

We came to know pretty recently that this is going to be an Assistant Manager chip, which can help one choose a particular manager with his remaining budget for three gameweeks. The chosen manager will fetch you points apart from the existing squad.

However, as it goes with every other chip in the game, once it is played you can’t play another chip during its usage period. Now, the prices of the managers have been revealed.

We have divided them into four categories for your ease, based on their price range. Let’s have a close look at each one of them before the chip goes live and up for grabs from gameweek 24. Here we go!

Premium Category

These are the costliest managers with their respective sides being in the top six. There are five options to choose from.

Pep Guardiola / Manchester City / £1.5m

Mikel Arteta / Arsenal / £1.5m

Enzo Maresca / Chelsea / £1.5m

Eddie Howe / Newcastle United / £1.5m

Arne Slot / Liverpool / £1.5m

Rising Star Category

Then we have another set of managers who cost you a bit less than the premium ones. Here are five options too.

Andoni Iraola / Bournemouth / £1.1m

Marco Silva / Fulham / £1.1m

Nuno Espirito Santo / Nottingham Forest / £1.1m

Fabian Hurzeler / Brighton / £1.1m

Ange Postecoglou / Spurs / £1.1m

Moderate Category

Next we have another set of managers who cost you even less. Again, five options to choose from.

Ruben Amoriom / Manchester United / £0.8m

Oliver Glasner / Crystal Palace / £0.8m

Thomas Frank/ Brentford / £0.8m

Unai Emery / Aston Villa / £0.8m

Vitor Pereira / Wolves / £0.8m

Economic Category

Next up is the budget segment. These are the cheapest of the lot. The last category also provides you with five different options.

Kieran McKenna / Ipswich Town / £0.5m

Graham Potter / West Ham / £0.5m

Ruud van Nistelrooy / Leicester City / £0.5m

David Moyes / Everton / £0.5m

Ivan Juric / Southampton / £0.5m

We are approaching GW23 and it’s time you finalise your choices along with the stretch of matches when you will be bringing them in. Just to remind you, the first manager signing won’t cost you a transfer. But if you switch to a different manager within those three gameweeks then one free transfer is erased or you get a -4.

This is an immensely powerful chip and can make or break things for you. Therefore, choose wisely and use carefully. Hope you have a great time with the new Assistant Manager Chip and it revives your fantasy fortunes. Cheers!
