Fans React to Black Mamba x Barcelona 25/26 Away Kit Leak

Barcelona, Football Kits, Nike

FC Barcelona’s season so far has been nothing short of thrilling. The trio of Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Yamal seem to be scoring goals for fun under Flick and have been pivotal in Barca’s comeback. Sitting second in the Champions League table and chasing Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid for the La Liga title, chances of more trophies after the Super Cup success look positive this season.

While they wait and watch as to how the season unfolds, thanks to Barcelona kit collector @memorabilia1899 on X, there have been leaks of the 25/26 away kit and the fans love it!

The bold and creative design, along with a lucrative partnership with Nike’s Black Mamba, and ties to late basketball legend Kobe Bryant has sparked widespread excitement amongst the Barca faithful.

The Nike Mamba FC Barcelona 25/26 away kit features a striking light yellow-gold base, accented by black and Persian violet. The Lakers-inspired collar and cuffs bring a touch of NBA flair, and the crest, adorned with a snake pattern, is a subtle nod to Kobe Bryant’s “Black Mamba” persona. Officially, the colors are “Team Gold/Black/Persian Violet.” The cuffs on the sleeve also have a similar design to the collar.

The base of the kit also seems to have some sort of light patterning across it that isn’t entirely visible, or is rather hidden. It could follow a similar snakeskin-like pattern that the badge has.

The shorts that have been paired with this away kit are black with an ‘Iron Grey’ Kobe Bryant logo & Barcelona crest. They also have Lakers purple-coloured side panels.

This isn’t the first time Barcelona has explored this colour scheme. Fans might recall the 2022/23 away jersey, which also featured gold as its base. However, the 25/26 away kit’s subtle details take it a level above anything that has been released in the past.

It is reported that the kit is just one piece of the larger “Mamba Collection,” which is being heralded as the biggest collaboration in the club’s history. The collection includes pitch-to-street essentials such as training gear, sweatpants, caps, and more.

All of this drip is set to debut when Barcelona step foot in the US for their 25/26 summer pre-season tour, with reports suggesting that the kit itself will be available for sale from late July/August 2025.

Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts, and the consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it one of the sharpest designs in recent memory. “Bruh this is actually sick” said one user on X while another replied with the cold emojis.

One fan even declared, “This may just be the coldest away kit in our history.”

Reactions in Spanish also surfaced, with one fan remarking, “Es preciosa,” meaning “it’s beautiful.” Summing up the general sentiment, another user on X stated, “Reducing the purple only to the collars and cuffs made it wayyyy better. This is a solid 9/10 (for these leaks, could be 10 when it really comes out). Love it!”
