A glance at the gameweek 24 points table showed that both Munoz and Robinson have registered attacking returns. The former was even blessed with a clean sheet. But it was just another day at the office, for both the wingbacks. Nowadays, they have almost made it a habit to deliver FPL points. Crunch matches? Extreme pressure situations? The duo seems fixture-proof.
Antonee Robinson looked like the best attacking defender in the game a while ago. Whereas, Daniel Munoz appeared to be the assist god of fantasy football. Waiting at the fag end of double gameweek 24 with double gameweek 25 in store, these two seem the unputdownable defensive assets in Fantasy Premier League 2024-25. Why? Why not!
Coincidentally, both Munoz and Robinson are now tied at the seventh spot with 88pts, so far as the FPL leaderboard for defenders is concerned. Though Crystal Palace will blank in gameweek 29, Crystal Palace has a really lucrative run of fixtures now.
Therefore, if you have Munoz, you may keep him for a long-term, as his BGW29 has been clubbed between two plum fixtures — Ipswich Town and Southampton. The Colombia international has started 23 out of the 24 games so far and has 2 goals along with 4 assists in PL.
Glasner’s Palace has kept 7 clean sheets till now, with Munoz being a vital cog of the team. He has recorded back-to-back assists in GW23 and GW24. And in the last four games, Munoz has smashed a whooping 27pts.
Robinson has been phenomenal this season, having already struck as many as ten assists. Though Fulham has managed only four CSs in the 2024/25 season, the USA left-back may be just another assist away.
Going by the fixture list, he should be more than okay at least till the blank gameweek 29. Robinson’s underlying numbers are startling. He has managed to pull off as many as 10 assists from a cumulative xA(Expected Assist) of just 3.1.
Both of them had difficult away games in GW24. Therefore, I benched them and started Lewis Hall instead. But both Munoz and Robinson went on to punish me badly.
Hence, it would be wise to buy or hold this defensive pair in fantasy before double gameweek 25. They don’t cost too much and appear to be of great value. While Robinson has a high ownership around 25%, Munoz is still a cool differential with an ownership below 7%.
