Leeds United have been fantastic this season, and we might have witnessed a potential goal of the season from them.
In what was a thrashing of Watford away from home, the clip making rounds on X has been their 4th goal.
The move was started by their 26-year-old Japanese star, Ao Tanaka, who danced around the Watford players just outside their box before passing to Solomon, who assisted Joel Piroe for a clinical finish.
The first half saw Daniel James scoring twice and Solomon putting his name on the scoresheet as well.
So, in theory, the game was over in the first 45 minutes, and Joel Piroe’s 62nd-minute goal was just the icing on the cake.
But what an icing on the cake it turned out to be!
One X user wrote that he had watched the goal eight times already, while another claimed it might be the goal of the season.
Well, it’s safe to say it was a fantastic goal.
Leeds have been flying high this season. They sit first in the Championship and have only lost once at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke has implemented a tactical approach characterized by possession-based football aimed at supporting dynamic attackers. So if we were to distill all that footballing philosophy into one goal, it would be this one.
The goal scorer, Joël Piroe, has also been fantastic so far.
He has bagged 14 goals providing 6 assists in 32 championship games.
As for the season, Leeds is first on the table and is looking set for promotion.
Given that plays out, it would be exciting to watch Daniel Farke’s men play against the big boys in the top flight of England.
