Everything We Know about Jarrod Bowen’s Cheeky Eastenders Cameo

Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen has scored six goals and provided four assists as West Ham’s captain this season, but perhaps the most unexpected thing he has done is appear on a TV show!

Two things have held a special place in East Londoners’ hearts for a long time: the football club West Ham and the TV soap opera EastEnders, where Bowen recently made a cameo.

These two are massive institutions in this part of London, and their collaboration only strengthens that connection.

Former manager Harry Redknapp also made a guest appearance on the show, but Bowen’s appearance is even more special for two reasons.

First, it comes just ahead of the show’s 40th anniversary.

Second, Bowen has a personal connection with the show.

Jarrod’s future father-in-law, Danny Dyer is one of the main characters on the show, and his daughter, Dani Dyer is set to marry the English footballer later this year.

Despite not being married yet, Jarrod and Dani are parents to twin girls who were born just a couple of years back.

Regarding the actual cameo, Bowen appears on the show in a video message in which he congratulates the two characters, Honey Mitchell Bowen and Billy Mitchell, on their impending marriage.

The episode aired on Wednesday, 12 February.

Coming back to the main point, as we mentioned before, the show shares its home with die-hard West Ham supporters.

So the drama has had its fair share of West Ham supporting characters and references in its lifespan.

To see Jarrod Bowen feature on the show was the perfect coming together of worlds that were not too unfamiliar to begin with.

As for West Ham, they face Arsenal on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

They are 16th on the table, 10 points above the drop zone!
