IShowSpeed to Cameo in the CBS Champions League Show? Here’s What We Know

Champions League, Ishowspeed

There’s a strong possibility that Darren Watkins Jr., better known as IShowSpeed, might appear alongside the CBS crew on Champions League nights.

Yes, we’re talking about that CBS show with Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards—the one that delivers, in my opinion, the best Champions League coverage out there.

And now, Speed might have a cameo in it.

Here’s how this all came to be:

A few days ago, Qatar hosted a charity match featuring a mix of retired football legends and internet celebrities from various backgrounds. The annual event, called Match for Hope, raises funds for educational initiatives supporting marginalized children worldwide.

The lineup included football icons like Eden Hazard, Andrés Iniesta, Kaká, Roberto Carlos, and David Villa. On the internet celebrity side, names like KSI, Chunkz, and AboFlah were in attendance.

Also present?

IShowSpeed and Thierry Henry.

And this is where things get interesting.

Speed, as always, was live-streaming the event, and a snippet from his stream caught the attention of the CBS crew. The clip showed Henry inviting Speed to check out their Champions League show and possibly make an appearance. Speed, without hesitation, said he’d love to be on it because he had “something to discuss.”

That clip was then played on CBS during the Tuesday night second-leg matches, sparking a hilarious discussion among the panel. Kate Abdo asked the pundits if they knew who Speed was.

Carragher had no clue while Micah Richards knew about him.

Carragher, trying to make sense of Speed just from his name, asked, “What’s he going to do on the show? Run?”

Micah was quick to explain that Speed is much more than that, and that a conversation between Jamie and Speed would be priceless.

But the saga didn’t end there.

IShowSpeed reacted to the CBS discussion on his own stream, promising that he’d “remember the name Jamie Carragher” and confirming his willingness to make a cameo on the show.

And knowing CBS, they won’t shy away from making this happen.

After all, CBS broadcasts to an American audience, and Speed is very American-coded.

This collab feels inevitable.
