Slap Me – London Based YouTuber Says Sorry to Arne Slot

Arne Slot, Football YouTubers, Liverpool

Liverpool’s decisive 2-0 win over Manchester City saw them soar 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Against all odds, Arne Slot is setting all kinds of impressive feats. He’s the first ever Liverpool boss to do a league double over Pep Guardiola and the Reds are still unbeaten in away Premier League games after 15 trips under him.

They’ve only lost four out of 42 games this season and seem destined to end the campaign on a bang. Slot is making anyone who doubted him eat their words. That includes popular YouTuber John Charles, aka WorldofJCC.

His WorldOfJCC channel has over 230,000 subscribers on YouTube. He mostly posts entertaining FC 25 videos or clips of him doing football challenges against other YouTubers.  The London-based YouTuber has over 16,000 followers on Instagram and over 32,000 followers on X (Twitter).

A video from earlier the campaign has gone viral of Charles totally writing off Liverpool in the 2024/25 Premier League predictions. He predicts them to finish sixth, asking ‘Arne Who?’ and saying: “They haven’t gotten the best squad. Klopp’s been overperforming for years with that team. I just don’t see (them challenging), I think Salah’s starting to fall off a bit. I think there will be big problems then. I’ve gotten Chelsea higher than Liverpool.”

Charles made this ‘bold’ prediction in late July (2024) before the 2024/25 Premier League began. He was a guest for The Club, a YouTube channel operated by YouTubers Rory Jennings, Buvey and Adam McKola. In the video, he was asked to rank the final 2024/25 Premier League standings from 1-20 and opted to place Liverpool at no.6.

John has now apologized for his embarrassing prediction, even claiming on X (Twitter) that ‘If I ever meet Arne Slot I will have to let him slap me’. He also argued that nobody could’ve predicted Mo Salah having his best ever season (41 goal contributions in 26 games) and how that contributed to Liverpool’s dominance under Slot.

Irrespective, the YouTuber is deservedly earning a lot of mockery for his strange prediction. Charles’ case is a prime example of just how anyone undermining Slot’s ability has been made to look like a fool.
