Liverpool have had a hard-fought start to the year having conceded 5 goals in 3 league games. After their defeat against Manchester City, the Reds bounced back to win the games against Brighton and Palace.
While the win against Brighton was a display of sturdy defense, their win against Crystal Palace at Anfield was a fine display of attack with a stroke of luck.
While there were goals with an element of luck, the goal which eventually secured the win was definitely a thing of beauty.
Mane’s run down the left wing and then the finish in the bottom corner was the consequence of a magnificent Alisson throw.
The Brazilian released the long ball to Robertson who was near the half way line and the Scot managed to play a pass to Mane leading up to the goal.
Alisson has truly been a revelation for the Reds. Having already impressed with his crucial saves and distribution with his feet (and hands), the Brazilian gave a fine display of his attacking ability with this pinpoint long through at the feet of his fullback, much to the liking of fans and his manager.
